Volunteers Needed
The Summer Race Series would not exist without exceedingly generous support from the awesome cycling community of Los Angeles. Local riders, shops and companies really step up to make these races everything that they are.
Encino Velodrome is run entirely by unpaid volunteers — such as yours truly — and we could always use a little more help. Each night of races requires a few positions to be filled such as pulling lap cards and assisting with registration. If you are interested (or know someone who is) in volunteering for a Summer Race Series event, please send an e-mail to: ridetheblackline@gmail.com.
What’s in it for the volunteers? Not only will they be contributing to some of the finest track racing in Southern California, they will also earn points towards the SRS Team Trophy. Each volunteer can sign in the name of their team or club and 3 points will be awarded per night of volunteering. Check out how the SRS Team Trophy scoring works HERE.
